Yesterday, our family had a big milestone. Bethany returned to work for the first time since Connor was born. Our schedules work out well so that I can return home before she heads off to work. That means that yesterday was my first day alone taking care of Mr. Connor.
I am happy to report that he is still alive and well. He really didn't give me any trouble, other than not wanting to go to bed. I had to be a little proud of myself, but even more proud of my wife. I know that it was hard for me to go back to work after he was born, but I am used to it now. She has spent two months at home caring for him, and now has to leave him at the house with me. That must be scary!
The one plus is that she gets to talk to people that aren't her husband! I think re-joining civilization will be great for her. The only things she gets to hear about now are the stupid things I do at work. So day 1 is down. Hopefully they are all as good as yesterday was.
